STRATEGIC PLAN
CHANGE STARTS WITH US. ALL OF US.
Investing in collaborative efforts to transform our community.
In Summer 2019, Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation embarked on a journey to create a new strategic plan to take the organization into its next decade. Following conversations with the community, the staff and Trustees analyzed community data and developed the strategic plan.
The Foundation is adopting processes for supporting collaborative, cooperative efforts that transcend single organizations by bringing together knowledge, experience, and expertise. We have asked questions and listened, and we will proceed by encouraging open dialogue in a spirit of togetherness.
OVERVIEW
At the center of the work of Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation is a desire that those most in need have the education, skills and resources to achieve their full potential.
We believe that our work can best be achieved through four streams of capital:
- Equip – Greater Baton Rouge nonprofits operate effectively and demonstrate impact Nonprofit Capacity Building Institute
- Engage – Build and sustain commitment for ALICE, impoverished, and justice-involved populations throughout the 10-parish region
- Empower – Support revitalization of North Baton Rouge and generate new opportunities for families so that residents can thrive
- Excellence – Operate as a premier foundation
COMMUNITY PRESENTATIONS
Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation held meetings to share the plan with community members. The PowerPoint Slides and a one page overview are available, in addition to the full presentation recording.
